A 174-unit, 215,000 square foot independent living facility in Kansas City, Missouri. After its opening in 1987, the Charter quickly gained the reputation as the premier retirement center for Kansas City, Missouri and remains one of the premier facilities in its market.

St. Mary’s Manor
The challenge of working with an existing steel frame structure scheduled to be an acute care facility was no match for The Tutera Group. They created this state-of-the-art skilled nursing and assisted living facility on the campus of St. Mary’s Hospital of Blue Springs, MO. The facility consists of 131 skilled nursing beds on the first floor and 57 unique apartment style, residential, assisted living beds on the second floor. Incorporating modern materials and design techniques, Tutera gave the exterior of the facility a warm, residential style look, while appointing the interior with finishes that gives one the impression of a first class hotel beginning with the use of marble and carpet in the lobby and throughout the facility.

Carondelet Manor
This 180-bed skilled nursing center located on the campus of St. Joseph Hospital, was designed and built in 1984 by The Tutera Group as the premier nursing and rehabilitation facility serving South Kansas City and Johnson County, Kansas. Designed with the look and feel of a modern French chateau, its rich wood molding and wall sconces are complemented by a formal dining room and state-of-the-art rehabilitation department.

The Atriums 
This fabulous retirement center gets its name from its design. An upscale, seven-story, double atrium, this structure was originally designed to be a suites hotel. The Tutera Group purchased the shell and created what has become Kansas City’s most recognizable and most respected luxury retirement center. Known as much for its operational success as it is for its design, The Atriums boasts a host of amenities created through the vision of The Tutera Group’s staff. Included in those are an indoor pool and sauna, card rooms, ice cream parlor, and seven different floor plans throughout the center. You must see this facility to truly appreciate its design and beauty.

Bethany Healthcare 
The Tutera Group designed and built this one-story, 90-bed skilled nursing facility in 1994. Located in the growing Illinois community of DeKalb, just one hour east of Chicago, Bethany’s rectangular design with a covered portico and red earth stone facade, contains 48 semi-private and private rooms, many with a view towards a large interior courtyard. As you enter this state-of-the-art care center, the main focal points are a vaulted ceiling and brass chandeliers. Bethany Health Care and Rehabilitation Center is conveniently located just down the street from DeKalb’s acute care facilities and medical complex.

Plaza Manor
A skilled nursing center consisting of three resident floors with underground parking, service areas and MEP located on this level. This premier, 154-bed facility was developed on 1.5 acres adjacent to Kansas City’s primary tertiary medical center, St. Luke’s Hospital. This nursing facility and hospital overlook The Country Club Plaza.

Stratford Commons 
The Tutera Group entered the assisted living market with this single-story, 48-unit facility located across the street from the Overland Park Golf Course and adjacent to one of the City’s largest planned home developments designed for retirees. The design is colonial and is built on a square so that there is a large, secure interior courtyard as the focal point of the building. This well-appointed assisted living center has multiple living options, plenty of green space, and great amenities throughout the facility. The Tutera Group is again recognized as a leader in the design and management of yet another segment of the long term care industry.

Oakley Courts

Patterned after its prototype property in Overland Park, KS, the Tutera Group built this assisted living facility to serve the rapidly growing community of Freeport, Illinois. This one-story, 46-unit brick and stucco facility sits literally on an island but is surrounded by the rapidly expanding medical services complex of health and wellness providers. Oakley Courts offers its residents multiple choices in apartment design as well as unique activity areas not so common to these types of facilities. From private dining to multiple lounge areas, a computer lab, library, and ice cream parlor, one is immediately captivated by the circular inlayed wooded lobby floor as attention is drawn to the large fireplace located in the adjacent lobby lounge. Blending excellence in design with functionality for the market they serve, The Tutera Group once again demonstrates itself as a leader in its field.

Broadway Medical

Overlooking the world famous Country Club Plaza Shopping District, this four-story, all-brick medical office building was one of the Tutera Group’s first developments. Located adjacent to St Luke’s Hospital, a level one trauma center, this building has its own attached parking garage with gate control and retail space on the main floor suitable for a pharmacy, news and snack bar, all developed for the convenience of its patrons and tenants. The Kansas City Eye Foundation

The Tutera Group designed and built this regional medical center to support the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 1987. The unique use of glass and steel, as well as the modern design of this building reflects the image The Tutera Group wanted to create that symbolizes the state-of-the-art research, education and patient care and rehabilitation that is conducted within its walls. Size: 24,000 SF.
